A great way to sweeten up your coffee, a this vanilla syrup recipe will likely beat the vanilla syrup at your local coffee shop. And the best part, of course, is that you can enjoy this with your Sasquatch coffee at home.
Ingredients
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup water
1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped
1 teaspoon vanilla extractDirections
Combine the sugar, water, vanilla bean seeds, and scraped vanilla bean halves in a small saucepan over medium high heat.
Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
Remove from the heat.
Stir in the vanilla extract and let the syrup cool.
Pour into a jar and refrigerate until needed.
Makes 16 oz.
