Sasquatch Coffee_healthypumpkinspiceMany of the tasty lattes, mochas, and macchiatos that are popular this time of year are good for the soul but not for the waist-band. This recipe for a homemade pumpkin spice latte is a solution to high sugar and high fat coffee drinks. The perfect recipe for your favorite Sasquatch blend , enjoy this guilt-free pumpkin latte at home.

Fall is here, which means pumpkin everything is getting ready to be released so that you can taste and really feel the season. Before indulging in some pumpkin-flavored goodness, be sure to check the labels or ask what exactly is in your pumpkin-specialty-super-exclusive item and in what quantities before you guzzle the whole thing down and feel like garbage due to ingesting all of the processed sugars.

Below is a simple recipe for a pumpkin spice latte that can be a healthier alternative for those looking to really bring in the season. Here is a sweet way to help you enjoy the fall without feeling guilty.

Ingredients

1 cup of your preferred milk choice (I used unsweetened coconut milk)

1-2 tbsp of raw maple syrup (optional as this could be too much sugar for those with body composition goals)

1 1/2  tbsp of pumpkin puree

1/4 tsp of cinnamon

1/4 tsp of nutmeg

1/8 tsp of ginger

1 tbsp of vanilla extract

Coffee grounds

Instructions

Brew your coffee how you normally do. While it’s brewing, in a pan heat coconut milk, pumpkin, maple syrup, whisk until the milk starts to bubble slightly. Remove from heat, then whisk the cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Pour into your cup of coffee and add some cinnamon on top.

So simple and so yummy! Enjoy!
