Healthy Coffee Banana Smoothie

This healthy, easy to make smoothie offers everything you need in your new year: Great taste, healthy ingredients, and energy to start your day. If you don’t care for bananas, maybe try it out with other frozen fruit mixes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chilled coffee
  • 1½ bananas, cut into chunks
  • 1 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 2 tsp honey or agave nectar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp grated nutmeg
  • 6 ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place all of the ingredients in a heavy-duty blender (one that can crush ice).
  2. Blend until smooth. Serve.
