A smoothie is a great way to start the day with a hearty, nutritional boost. This coffee walnut smoothie includes the ingredients you need to keep you going and the caffeine you want to keep you energized.
Maple Walnut Coffee Smoothie
Makes 1-2Ingredients
- 2 tbsp walnuts
- 2 tbsp rolled oats
- 3/4 cup plain, unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 tbsp instant espresso or coffee (OR add 4 oz. brewed coffee)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 packet stevia
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp maple extract
- 2 Medjool dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
- 6-8 ice cubes
Instructions
- Put the walnuts and oats in a blender and pulse until ground to a fine powder.
- Add all of the remaining ingredients (except for the ice) and process until smooth.
- Add the ice and pulse until pulverized. Serve immediately.
